Marjorie Taylor Greene Georgia Republican Rep. on Friday announced that she had filed articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland following the FBI’s Monday raid on former President Donald Trump’s estate.
Marjorie T. Greene posted the articles on Twitter, saying that Garland’s “personal approval to seek a search warrant for the raid on the home of the former President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, constitutes an obvious attempt to persecute a political opponent.”
On Friday, the authorities released the search warrant filed to search former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. That warrant was filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida and was issued last week.
According to the warrant the FBI was on a fishing expedition hoping to find ANYTHING incriminating against the former President of the United States.
The warrant ordered FBI agents to confiscate “any government and/or Presidential Records created between January 20, 2017 and January 20, 2021.
